The future Planet of the apes has found its host star. Finally, the 20th century continues with the next installment in the franchise starring Owen Teague (It, the Stand). As previously reported, Wes Ball (The Table Runner Films) was also tapped to direct the feature film. The project is also progressing fast as the production of Word Is will begin before the end of the year.

Ball has been involved with planned sequels since Disney took over in the 20th century and has worked on scripts over the years. Of course, no further details about the plot have been revealed yet, but according to previous reports, the film is rumored to be called the Planet Kingdom. The final draft of the Word script is so excited about Ball Studio’s implementation that Ball is finally starting to roll in a sequel. Soon after, the casting process was underway, which led to Tag’s involvement. The names of the other players have not been announced yet.

Teague is best known to horror fans for his role in the 2017 feature film adaptation alongside Patrick Hoxteter in season two of the 2017 Stephen King sequel. After playing roles in The Stand, Bloodline, and Mrs. novels, He also appeared in films such as The Empty Man, The Montana Story, and Gone in the Night.
