Over six weeks, the television test cast both celebrities negatively at various points, although the verdict ultimately was in Depp’s favour. Fox Entertainment’s MarVista Entertainment is behind the film, according to Variety. They were directed by Sarah Loman (Hidden in the Woods) from a script by Guy Nicolucci (The Daily Show). It stars Brittany Clemons, Angie Dee, and Marianne C. Finch and is produced by Hannah Bellmer and Fernando Saez. It was created by Minnie Federici and Christopher Seugatic for The Ninth House.

The jury ultimately awarded Depp $15 million, which was later reduced to $10.35 million due to Virginia law, while Heard was also awarded $2 million.
